Adopt Chilli

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

On April 14, 2021, a female cat arrived at the shelter and went into foster care. On May 2, 2021, she gave birth to 6 kittens. The large, long-haired Chilli is friendly and content, enjoys playing with other cats, and neither minds nor is bothered by them. Unfortunately, he lacks the active temperament needed for sales work, so he hasn't caught anyone's eye yet and is patiently waiting for a safe home to be offered. If you would like to rescue this friendly cat from her lonely foster home and provide her with a safe home, please write to Chillile 🙂 The homecoming of Chilli is done with love and care; interested applicants must first complete the questionnaire available here: For your interest, write , get a message on Facebook messenger, or call 58370708. We can't change the whole world, but we can find a loving home for a cat born without one. Come and meet Chilli!

14.04.2021 Ninaselt turvakodusse jõudnud lõpptiine sitikmust emane kass. Hoiukodusse poegima. 2.05.2021 6 poega.

About Chilli

What life with Chilli looks like

Chilli is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at MTÜ Saaremaa Lemmikloomade Turvakodu in Kuressaare.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chilli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chilli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. MTÜ Saaremaa Lemmikloomade Turvakodu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chilli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chilli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — MTÜ Saaremaa Lemmikloomade Turvakodu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chilli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chilli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with MTÜ Saaremaa Lemmikloomade Turvakodu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chilli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
