Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this animal now! Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Cinnamon has found his own home! His story: Cinnamon is a male dog approximately 1 year old, with a manageable size of about 38 cm and weighing 13 kg. With his handsome, fox-like face and gentle gaze, he immediately wins everyone over. Not only is he visually stunning, but he’s also a treasure in terms of character: friendly, calm, and easygoing. He was found in a village where he had been exposed to terrible conditions—including being observed being thrown stones at. It’s all the more remarkable that Cinnamon today shows himself to be friendly and approachable. He already walks quite well on a leash, isn’t overly excitable, and is generally a rather relaxed dog. He gets along well with other dogs; his compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. At one year old, Cinnamon may still be in the late stage of puberty—a phase during which young dogs like to test their boundaries. Anyone who stands by him now with loving consistency, patience, and structure will be rewarded with a loyal and balanced companion. Who will give Cinnamon the loving home he so desperately deserves? Cinnamon travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. He has an EU pet passport and will be placed in a new home after a positive pre-adoption check against a protection fee of 500 euros. A big thank you goes to Payel B.—you’ve given Cinnamon the chance for a new life with his sweet name! As of April 16, 2025

Stand: 16.04.2025

About Cinnamon

What life with Cinnamon looks like

Cinnamon is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cinnamon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cinnamon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cinnamon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cinnamon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cinnamon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cinnamon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cinnamon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
