Clark

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Clark – small puppy seeks his people Clark was found in Romania in the summer of 2026 as a very young puppy alone in front of an apartment building. He was on his own and made himself known by his cries. Apparently, he was also left alone in an apartment for a while. A team colleague of Luana noticed him and was able to bring Clark to safety. The next morning, he was medically examined and then cared for. Clark is still very young and is expected to reach a medium size. He shows himself to be calm and gentle and may now gradually get to know his new life. Like every puppy, Clark still needs to learn the dog 1×1. Housebreaking, leash training, being left alone and the various everyday situations are still ahead of him. For this, he needs people who give him the necessary orientation with patience, loving consistency and enough time. We are looking for people who enjoy accompanying a young dog as he grows up and introducing him patiently into his new life. A safe and reliable daily routine as well as a lot of time for shared experiences are particularly important for his development. Children may live in the household in principle, but should already have an understanding of dealing with a young dog. Clark now wants to find his own family and is looking for people who are willing to take the next steps with him. Final size: expected medium Final weight: not yet given Neutered: no, age-related Character: calm and gentle Housebreaking: still to be learned Leash training: still to be learned Children: yes, from school age Cat-friendly: he knows cats Location: Romania Do you want to get to know Clark? Then please contact Ulrike. Please share Clark's post so that he can be seen as quickly as possible and find his people.

Er war auf sich gestellt und machte durch sein Rufen auf sich aufmerksam. Offensichtlich wurde er auch eine Zeit lang alleine in einer Wohnung gelassen. Eine Teamkollegin von Luana wurde auf ihn aufmerksam und konnte Clark in Sicherheit bringen. Bereits am nächsten Morgen wurde er medizinisch untersucht und anschließend versorgt. Clark ist noch sehr jung und wird voraussichtlich eine mittelgroße Größe erreichen. Er zeigt sich ruhig und sanftmütig und darf nun Schritt für Schritt sein neues Leben kennenlernen. Wie jeder Welpe muss auch Clark noch das Hunde-1×1 lernen. Stubenreinheit, Leinenführigkeit, das Alleinebleiben und die verschiedenen Alltagssituationen stehen noch vor ihm. Dafür braucht er Menschen, die ihm mit Geduld, liebevoller Konsequenz und ausreichend Zeit die nötige Orientierung geben. Für Clark suchen wir Menschen, die Freude daran haben, einen jungen Hund beim Aufwachsen zu begleiten und ihn geduldig in sein neues Leben einzuführen. Ein sicherer und verlässlicher Alltag sowie viel Zeit für gemeinsame Erfahrungen sind für seine Entwicklung besonders wichtig. Kinder dürfen grundsätzlich gerne im Haushalt leben, sollten jedoch bereits Verständnis für den Umgang mit einem jungen Hund haben. Clark möchte nun seine eigene Familie finden und sucht Menschen, die bereit sind, gemeinsam mit ihm die nächsten Schritte zu gehen. Bitte teilt Clarks Beitrag, damit er möglichst schnell gesehen wird und seine Menschen finden kann. .avia-image-container.av-mufmsdjl-257897a8ab7f74f449a3f485dbfa051e img.avia_image{ .avia-image-container.av-mufmsdjl-257897a8ab7f74f449a3f485dbfa051e .av-image-caption-overlay-center{

About Clark

What life with Clark looks like

Clark is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. in Großefehn.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Clark, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Clark?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Clark on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Clark if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Clark already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Clark isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Clark and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
