Claudia

Female · Kitten · 2 months

Claudia ID No.: 147354 Breed: EHK Age: 04/2021 Sex: female Housing: indoor cat Neutered/Sterilized: Yes Location: Marbella / Spain Application form Not suitable for solitary housing Lorena arrived at the animal shelter in summer 2021 together with her sisters Nerea, Claudia, and Laura. They were just two months old at the time. Like her sisters, Claudia is a very fearful cat. She still needs to learn to trust humans. However, she’s already making great progress and allows cautious approaches. We’re looking for experienced cat owners who can give her the necessary time and, above all, patience. She gets along very well with other cats, so it’s a requirement that another cat already awaits her in her new home or that she can bring a feline companion along. Her sisters are also still looking for a home! Because she’s still so shy, outdoor access wouldn’t be advisable for now—but she’d certainly appreciate a secure balcony. Claudia is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Vaccinations: yes.

About Claudia

What life with Claudia looks like

Claudia is a puppy/kitten cat waiting at Helfende Hände e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Claudia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Claudia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helfende Hände e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Claudia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Claudia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helfende Hände e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Claudia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Claudia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helfende Hände e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Claudia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
