Cleo und Coco

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten

Coco and Cleo are two sisters who were rescued from a farm where they lived in poor conditions and were not well cared for. They were heavily infested with worms and needed urgent veterinary care. Their rescuer took them to the vet and lovingly cared for them. The sisters have since been vaccinated and dewormed twice. Unfortunately, their rescuer cannot keep them due to a severe cat hair allergy. Coco and Cleo are inseparable siblings who rely on each other for support and security. They are only available for adoption together. The sisters are now looking for a loving forever home where they can finally feel safe, receive proper care, and spend their lives together. Who will give Coco and Cleo the chance to live a happy life together? Would you like to meet our little friends? We would be happy if you could fill out our adoption application and tell us about yourself and your future home. About Cleo und Coco

What life with Cleo und Coco looks like

Cleo und Coco is a kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Katzenzuhause e.V. in Biebergemünd.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cleo und Coco, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cleo und Coco?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenzuhause e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cleo und Coco on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cleo und Coco if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenzuhause e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Cleo und Coco already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cleo und Coco isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenzuhause e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cleo und Coco and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
