adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Cobi has found her home! Her story: The little Cobi is a sweet little puppy girl, who immediately captivates with her gentle demeanor and fluffy fur. She shows herself to be open, friendly, and very people-oriented. She also gets along well with other dogs. As befits a puppy, Cobi is still at the very beginning of her life and must learn the dog ABCs. Potty training, leash manners, and living together in everyday life are still new to her. With patience, loving consistency, and clear guidance, she will develop quickly. A visit to a positively working dog training class would certainly be a great support—especially during the later puberty, when young dogs like to test their limits. Visually, Cobi is a real stunner: She has soft, white fur that is wonderfully complemented by brown markings on her head, eyes, and ears. Her dark eyes appear attentive and friendly at the same time. Currently, Cobi is about 20 cm high and weighs around 3 kilograms. She is expected to grow to be small to medium-sized. Cobi wishes for a loving home where she is allowed to arrive and be a full-fledged family member. She is suitable for individuals, couples, or families who enjoy accompanying a young dog on its journey to adulthood. A pre-existing dog would be possible, but is not a prerequisite. Cobi travels vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated. Age-wise, she is not yet spayed, but of course brings her EU pet passport with her for travel arrangements. Stand: 21.01. Also, a foster home would be a wonderful first step into a happy dog life. Could Cobi already soon win your heart? Many thanks to Ramona! You gave Cobi her name and thus enabled her first step into a new life. Some symptoms here are age-related.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Darf Cobi schon bald dein Herz erobern? Vielen Dank an Ramona! Stand: 21.01.2026

About Cobi

What life with Cobi looks like

Cobi is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cobi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cobi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cobi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cobi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cobi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cobi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cobi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
