Coco and Espresso

Unknown · Young · 2 years

Meet Coco and Espresso, a beautiful mother-and-daughter duo looking for a loving forever home together. Coco is just 2 years old, and her daughter Espresso is 16 weeks old. Sadly, both have spent their lives living in a tiny hutch with very little space to enjoy all the things rabbits should. Despite this difficult start, they are sweet girls who deserve the chance to experience a life filled with comfort, freedom, and care. The pair share a very close bond and take great comfort in each other’s company, so they are looking for a home where they can stay together. Watching them interact is truly special, and we wouldn’t want to separate them. Coco has done a wonderful job raising her daughter, and now it’s time for both of them to enjoy being cherished family pets. We are hoping to find a home that can offer them plenty of space to hop, explore, and relax, along with all the love and attention they have missed out on. Could you give Coco and Espresso the happy ending they deserve and help them start the next chapter of their lives together? A pair of rabbits need an enclosure that is at least 3mx2m.

About Coco and Espresso

What life with Coco and Espresso looks like

Coco and Espresso is a very small young adult rabbit waiting at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Coco and Espresso, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Coco and Espresso?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Thornberry Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Coco and Espresso on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Coco and Espresso if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Thornberry Animal Sanctuary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Coco and Espresso already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Coco and Espresso isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Thornberry Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Coco and Espresso and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
