Coco Bella

Female · Adult · 3 years

Coco Bella is a beautiful German Shepherd with a clever mind, a loving heart and plenty of enthusiasm for life. She is still learning how to settle into new environments but is making lovely progress every day. Although she has not had the easiest start in life, Coco Bella is already showing what a loyal, affectionate and rewarding companion she can become with the right guidance and support. This bright girl is incredibly intelligent and already knows how to sit along with several other commands. She loves showing off her skills and is highly motivated by both food and tennis balls, which makes training and enrichment a really enjoyable experience for her. Coco Bella thrives when she has plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation and opportunities to learn new things.Coco Bella would be best suited to a home with children aged 13 and over or secondary school-aged children who are confident around dogs and understand that she can sometimes forget her size when excited. She can be left alone for short periods once settled and would love an active home that can continue helping her build confidence in the world around her.She would prefer to be the only dog in the home so she can enjoy all the love and attention for herself. Coco Bella is still learning to feel comfortable around other dogs and can become worried when overwhelmed, so she currently wears a muzzle in certain situations to help keep both her and others safe while she continues her training journey. Due to her prey chase drive, she would not be suitable to live with cats.Underneath it all, Coco Bella is a really loving girl who enjoys affection, interaction and being part of the family. She simply needs patient owners who can continue helping her feel secure and supported while encouraging all the wonderful qualities she already has. She will need a training session with our behaviourist before going to her forever home so that her routines and training remain consistent and set her up for success. For the right family, Coco Bella will be an incredibly rewarding companion. She is intelligent, full of character and ready to build a strong bond with people who are willing to invest time, love and understanding into helping her thrive.

About Coco Bella

What life with Coco Bella looks like

Coco Bella is a adult dog waiting at RSPCA Cornwall Branch in Saint Columb.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Coco Bella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Coco Bella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Cornwall Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Coco Bella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Coco Bella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Cornwall Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Coco Bella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Coco Bella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Cornwall Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Coco Bella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
