Triple A Benelux: Input 20 oktober 2026: Cody is samen met zijn maatje Zack gevonden in het gebied “Los Monteros” wat steeds vaker een plek lijkt te worden waar afgedankte Podenco’s worden gedumpt. We vermoeden dat jagers hier hun “niet langer bruikbare tools” zonder enige twijfel achterlaten. Schrijnend!Gelukkig werden Cody en Zack levend aangetroffen. Cody is mooi zachtbruin van kleur en Zack schittert met zijn meer donkerbruine vacht. Twee beauty’s.In het begin waren zowel Cody als Zack zeer voorzichtig en terughoudend naar mensen toe. Niet zozeer omdat ze bang of verlegen waren, maar simpelweg omdat ze tot dusverre weinig tot geen positieve ervaringen hadden gehad met mensen. Ze hadden geen hoge pet op van ons mensen.Ze voelden zich daarentegen wel meteen verbonden met andere honden en ze leven in ons asiel prima samen met vooralsnog voornamelijk teefjes.De afgelopen maanden is hun contact met mensen gelukkig enorm verbeterd. Ze zijn inmiddels dol op wandelen met onze vrijwilligers, ze knuffelen erop los en leren graag, vooral als er een snackje wacht als beloning.Cody is een hele fraaie Podenco en in topvorm! Met zijn prachtige amberkleurige ogen en blik weet hij onze vrijwilligers te charmeren. Hij loopt goed aan de riem en beleeft plezier aan het wandelen in een groepje met andere honden.Cody hoeft niet persé samen te blijven met Zack, maar idealiter wachten er in zijn toekomstige thuis wel al 1 of meerdere honden op hem. Cody legt heel makkelijk contact met je en blijft dan gefocust op jouw aanwezigheid. Lekker bezig zijn met wat oefeningen vindt hij ook super leuk.Uit voorzorg kan hij in beginsel nog wat sceptisch zijn en houdt hij je op een afstand in de gaten. Uiteindelijk verandert zijn lichaamstaal snel en ontspant zijn koppie en lijf. Dan is er volop vertrouwen en ben je zijn beste vriend.Cody heeft nog niet het voorrecht gehad om een dagje uit te kunnen met een vrijwilliger. We weten daarom niet hoe hij zal reageren in de stad, bij meer lawaai, auto’s etc. We hopen dat zo’n uitje heel binnenkort gaat lukken voor hem.Uiteraard is het ook Cody’s droom om in een veilig omheinde tuin te kunnen snuffelen en ravotten. Ofwel op zijn minst een plek dichtbij de natuur waar hij samen met jou volop kan wandelen en socializen met andere honden.Word jij zijn nieuwe metgezel die hem met open armen ontvangt en hem eeuwig trouw zal blijven? Zijn onvoorwaardelijke liefde en dankbaarheid zijn onbetaalbaar!
