Adopt Connie

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Connie is related to Crumble Charlie Connie - aside from being incredibly cute and having the softest fur, she has a lovely gentle personality and a very cute miaow. Now all her kittens have been adopted and she has finished mum duties her true personality has emerged. She's very sweet and affectionate comes up to say hello with lots of head rubs in the morning or when you come home. She also likes cheek rubs/chin scratches and strokes.. She likes company but without being too clingy. Connie likes to be in the room you're in, will sit right next to you on the sofa and make biscuits on the blanket for a while morning and evening and goes off to nap in her own space for some of the day She's very calm and like a lot of cats she has short bursts of energy in the evening playing with her scratching post, a toy a mouse toy or a puzzle feeder. She likes her food and treats - is very well behaved, and uses her litter tray perfectly. I think she would suit a calm loving home, possibly without children, or a family with older children who are gentle as she gets spooked by loud noises. She would like a home where she gets regular company and affection but also respects her space when she wants some alone time.OK with older childrenGarden requiredConnie has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

About Connie

What life with Connie looks like

Connie is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Hounslow Animal Welfare Society in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Connie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Connie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hounslow Animal Welfare Society handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Connie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Connie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hounslow Animal Welfare Society will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Connie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Connie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hounslow Animal Welfare Society early rather than rehoming privately; they know Connie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
