Summer is here, and with the heat, he’s having a terrible time. His body is at its limit, and we fear he won’t make it. He is only five and a half years old, an immensely affectionate, noble, and sensitive dog. But he is very tired. His strength is failing, and every day it becomes harder for him to even stand. His health: Cooper has epilepsy and needs medication three times a day. Every seizure takes a bit more of his strength, a bit more of who he is. What he needs: Beyond his pills, what Cooper truly needs to survive is peace, stability, comfort, and lots of love. A shelter is not a place for a dog in his condition. We know that adopting a dog with medical needs can feel daunting and raise many questions. But the animal rescue association will cover his medical expenses if needed; what Cooper truly needs from you is a cool space, a sofa, and your heart. We cannot accept that such a loving dog should fade away alone behind a fence. A desperate plea: If you can’t adopt him, please share his story.
