Cora&#8217

Mixed Breed Cat · Unknown · Kitten · 2 months

Cora’s kittens had a difficult start to life after they were found as newborns with their mum, Cora, living on the streets. Thankfully, they were brought into safety where they have thrived, growing into happy, healthy and well-rounded young cats. Having been raised in a loving foster home, they are friendly, confident and have been well socialised. They can be adopted together or separately and should settle well into homes with respectful children and other pets, given sensible introductions. As they have never experienced life outdoors, they would also be perfectly suited to an indoor-only home where they can continue to live safe, happy lives. Now all that’s left is for each of these wonderful kittens to find a loving forever family where they can continue to flourish

About Cora&#8217

What life with Cora&#8217 looks like

Cora&#8217 is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cora&#8217, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cora&#8217?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Thornberry Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cora&#8217 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cora&#8217 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Thornberry Animal Sanctuary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cora&#8217 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cora&#8217 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Thornberry Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cora&#8217 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
