Corvin

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 3 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Corvin has found a home! His story: Cluj, Romania. Sweet black kitten looking for his family happiness. The name Corvin means "little raven" in English, and he certainly lives up to it given his beautiful fur color. Now, he just needs a loving family that can provide him with a great home. Corvin was found on the street with his sick brother when they were only one week old. Quickly, they were taken to a cat mom who was just giving birth to kittens so they could nurse from her. Unfortunately, Corvin's brother was rejected due to his illness. Shortly after, Corvin was also rejected by his mother due to stress. Fortunately, both were then raised on bottles. Currently, Corvin is in a foster home with other cats where he can play and socialize. For this reason, we do not want to place him in single housing. If no fellow animal is waiting for him in his new home, he would be happy to bring a friend from foster care into his new home. He also gets along very well with dogs as well as cats. Corvin enchants everyone with his cute and loving personality, putting a smile on every face. He is very playful, happy, and cuddly, which is typical for kittens his age. We hope to find a family for Corvin that can provide him with a wonderful home. Due to his background, we do not see him as an outdoor cat. However, he would definitely be happy with a cat-safe netted balcony so he can survey his new kingdom. This is not a must. Corvin can travel to his new home right now and is already neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. Additionally, he tested negative for FIV and FeLV and comes with an EU pet passport. Many thanks to Laura M.! You gave Corvin his name!

Vielen Dank Laura M.! Du hast Corvin seinen Namen geschenkt!

About Corvin

What life with Corvin looks like

Corvin is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Corvin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Corvin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Corvin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Corvin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Corvin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Corvin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Corvin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
