Here is Cratos, a beautiful Belgian Malinois Shepherd born in June 2025. He arrived following a placement order due to several bites inflicted on passersby, and his early life was very restricted: for a long time, he lived confined to just one room. This makes him a highly sensitive dog who will need plenty of patience and gentleness as he explores his new environment. Since arriving at the shelter, Cratos has made tremendous progress—and he hasn’t bitten a single person here! The team describes Cratos as a kind, friendly, gentle, and affectionate dog, yet one with a true Malinois temperament. Like all Malinois, he’s extremely energetic and will require significant daily physical and mental stimulation. Once he’s gained trust, he proves to be responsive and already walks nicely on a leash without pulling. He’s currently undergoing medical treatment to help manage his sensitivity, which can gradually be discontinued after consulting with a veterinary behaviorist. Cratos is looking for an experienced family capable of handling his temperament, one that doesn’t have young children. The presence of a well-balanced female dog could be an asset in helping to reassure him. The Malinois is not a breed for everyone. It requires a very active family that will provide him with mental stimulation (games, obedience training, tracking) in addition to long daily walks. Without sufficient mental and physical exercise, he could develop behavioral issues. His training must be firm yet always gentle and reward-based, as he’s a highly responsive but also very sensitive dog. Are you ready? Come meet him!

Voici Cratos, un magnifique Berger Belge Malinois né en juin 2025. Arrivé suite à un arrêté de placement à cause plusieurs morsures faite sur des passants, il a eu un début de vie très restreint : il a longtemps vécu enfermé dans une seule pièce. Cela en fait un chien très sensible qui aura besoin de beaucoup de patience et de douceur pour découvrir son environnement. Il a fait énormément de progrès depuis son arrivée au refuge, n'a pas mordu une seule fois ici ! Cratos est décrit par l’équipe comme un gentil chien, sympa doux et affectueux mais qui possède un vrai tempérament de Malinois. Comme tout Malinois, il est très dynamique et aura besoin de dépenses physiques et mentales quotidiennes importantes. Une fois en confiance, il se montre réceptif et marche déjà bien en laisse sans tirer. Il est actuellement sous traitement médical pour l’aider à gérer sa sensibilité qui pourra être arrêté progressivement après avoir consulter un vétérinaire comportementaliste. Cratos cherche une famille expérimentée , capable de gérer son tempérament, sans jeunes enfants. La présence d'une femelle équilibrée pourrait être un atout pour le rassurer. Le Malinois n'est pas un chien pour tout le monde. Il nécessite une famille très active qui lui offrira une stimulation mentale (jeux, obéissance, pistage) en plus de longues promenades. Sans cette dépense, il peut développer des troubles du comportement.
