Crino (m)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

Some dogs stand out. And some quietly slip right into your heart. CRINO is one of those special souls. Born in 2023 | approx. 55 cm | currently in Botoșani, Romania. Without even trying, he touches everyone who gets to know him. He’s gentle, friendly, calm, and reserved—and yet always present. He’s one of those dogs you can hardly describe, because you simply have to feel him for yourself. Since he was a puppy, CRINO has been living at the private animal shelter of our partner organization Ador in Botoșani. There, he’s allowed to run freely with the pack every day—a privilege reserved only for dogs who are absolutely socially compatible. CRINO never seeks conflict. He stays out of trouble, calmly observes what’s going on, and remains consistently friendly throughout. Then, all it takes is a small signal... ...and CRINO cautiously approaches. Very gently. Very quietly. And suddenly, you get the feeling that this dog is looking straight into your soul. He thoroughly enjoys being petted—without ever being demanding. He doesn’t push himself forward. He simply waits quietly, waiting to be noticed. Our German colleagues have now met CRINO for the third time—and returned with just one thought: This dog needs to be seen. He truly deserves a loving home. We’re looking for people with a calm home environment who enjoy quiet moments together. People who’ll hold him close, take leisurely walks with him, and finally show him what it feels like to truly belong. CRINO gets along well with other dogs. A cat test can be arranged on-site if there’s serious interest. Who will finally give this wonderful young dog his forever home? CRINO is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and of course comes with an EU pet passport. Contact: CRINO is being rehomed through Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V.—with pre-adoption screening and a protection contract. The organization is, of course, authorized under §11 of the Animal Welfare Act. Even after adoption, we’ll continue to provide support—for both human and animal. CRINO travels to Germany and will arrive in 91278 Pottenstein, where he’d also like to be picked up. A secure outdoor area is available there.

About Crino (m)

What life with Crino (m) looks like

Crino (m) is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Crino (m), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Crino (m)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Crino (m) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Crino (m) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Crino (m) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Crino (m) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Crino (m) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
