adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Crispy has found a home! His story: Like his siblings Aqua, Caesar, July, Liv, Oakley, and Rubio, Crispy was cruelly abandoned in the woods – just a few weeks old. Fortunately, the seven were discovered in time and brought to safety. Now, the sweet male dog lives in a foster home in Cluj and hopes to find great happiness soon. Crispy is a real looker: his left eye is dark brown, the right one icy blue – this special "Odd-Eyed" look is emphasized by his light beige fur and black nose. So far, he shows a playful, curious, and people-oriented character. His compatibility with other dogs is good – he currently lives with his siblings. His compatibility with cats has not been tested. His appearance suggests that like his siblings, Crispy might have some Husky genes. If that's true, he's likely an active, intelligent dog who wants both physical and mental challenges. Walks, puzzle games, nose work, or perhaps even later some light sports activities could bring him great joy. Crispy has not known life in a house before. This means: indoor potty training, everyday noises, being alone, or street traffic must be learned step by step. With patience, loving consistency, and a secure framework, he will quickly find his way. During puberty, it will likely be turbulent for Crispy, as it does for all young dogs. What works today may seem forgotten tomorrow. Boundaries will be tested, concentration will drop, and small rebellions are simply part of it. Those who accompany him with humor and structure during this time will be rewarded with a deep bond and a loyal companion. A visit to a positively working dog training class can be a great support for the adjustment, education, and team building. Crispy is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. He has an EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive foster home experience. Even a loving foster home would make him happy! Who falls in love with Crispy – the sweet fluffball with two worlds in his eyes? Many thanks to Mia! You gave Crispy his lovely name! Date: 18.05.

Vielen Dank an Mia! Du hast Crispys schönen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 18.05.2025

About Crispy

What life with Crispy looks like

Crispy is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Crispy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Crispy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Crispy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Crispy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Crispy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Crispy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Crispy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
