Cruella

Unknown

Cruella came to us with 6 other rabbits (one of them her sister, Astoria). Cruella is a German Giant rabbit mix female. At 3½ months old, she is not yet fully grown and will therefore grow a bit more. She is very curious and likes to be involved in everything and watch. She is very open to people and comes to you. She likes to take snacks from your hand and is also happy to be with people and observes everything you do with curiosity. However, as a typical flight animal, she does not want to be pressed, touched or lifted. She is very compatible with her own kind. She could move in with one or more of her friends already known here (except Daphne) or to one or more already existing rabbits. If Cruella has piqued your interest, we look forward to a meaningful email with pictures of the future living situation. We only mediate in species-appropriate keeping (2 rabbits need at least 6 square meters) and not in single keeping. General inquiry: No diseases known.

Allgemeine Interessentenanfrage:

About Cruella

What life with Cruella looks like

Cruella is a small adult rabbit waiting at Tierschutzverein Ettlingen in Ettlingen.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cruella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cruella?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Ettlingen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cruella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cruella if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierschutzverein Ettlingen what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Cruella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierschutzverein Ettlingen directly what is included and what Cruella still needs.
What happens if Cruella isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Ettlingen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cruella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
