Crumpet and Toast are

Unknown · Adult · 4 years

These two brothers were born on site in August 2022 to a lovely stray rabbit. They are believed to be half wild due to their colouring and their nature. We tried to socialise them as much as possible when they were young, but are still very nervous of new people. They’re very active bunnies, and love to explore. They can have typical brotherly arguments, but they aren't too extreme, and tend to calm down quickly afterwards. In general they are very happy together, and can be found flopped together enjoying each others company. They have lived both inside and outside, and have been in an outdoor enclosure for about a year now, we think they’d benefit most from a large outdoor set up. They would be best suited to experienced and confident rabbit owners.

About Crumpet and Toast are

What life with Crumpet and Toast are looks like

Crumpet and Toast are is a large adult rabbit waiting at GSPCA Guernsey in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Crumpet and Toast are, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Crumpet and Toast are?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. GSPCA Guernsey handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Crumpet and Toast are on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Crumpet and Toast are if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — GSPCA Guernsey will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Crumpet and Toast are already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Crumpet and Toast are isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with GSPCA Guernsey early rather than rehoming privately; they know Crumpet and Toast are and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
