CRUX

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Crux is a mature, gentle male dog born in 2020, now around 6 years old. He is in the most beautiful, golden age of maturity: the youthful chaos and follies are long behind him, offering in return, composure, life's seriousness and a huge need for stability. He weighs 21 kg - a harmonious, elegant format of a solid medium-sized dog, made directly for safe laying on a soft, home cushion away from the hustle and bustle. Crux is walking delicacy, defenseless tenderness and an ocean of modesty! He came to us from a difficult intervention - his previous life certainly did not spare him fear and disappointments from people, which is why today he is a dog strongly withdrawn and cautious. In his behavior, there is not a shred of aggression; it is a completely silent, submissive and harmless being that in the face of uncertainty simply freezes or tries to withdraw. At the moment, he cannot walk on a leash, and attempts to fasten it cause him too much stress, which is why he most dreams of a quiet home with a safely fenced garden. Such a safe space will allow him to walk without haste and without urban stimuli on the grass, observe the surroundings and learn to trust a human at his own pace. The shelter box and noise are extremely overwhelming places for such a withdrawn dog - Crux urgently needs a quiet asylum! Why does the injured and gentle Crux need you? Genius relationship with other dogs (Key asset!): Crux accepts other dogs wonderfully - the presence of a balanced, gentle resident dog will be invaluable support for him, give him courage and facilitate adaptation. Dream home with a garden: A safely fenced area in a quiet area is the only chance for him to recover without stress after the intervention, without the pressure of a leash and urban noise. Pure, dove-like gentleness: Completely devoid of anger or nervousness; it is a submissive, delicate dog with a heart in his hand, who wants only peace and security. Format of a solid medium-sized dog (21 kg): A neat, balanced figure - a non-intrusive tenant who brings calm and order to the house. Golden age of maturity (about 6 years): An oasis of seriousness and life's wisdom - he only dreams of a predictable rhythm of the day, a full bowl and a safe corner where no one will hurt him. The most beautiful act of rescue: Giving a safe haven to a dog after an intervention, who must slowly rebuild faith in man, is the purest and most selfless gesture of love. We are looking for a very calm, understanding and full of deep empathy home for Crux - people patient and aware, who will respect his boundaries, will not speed up or force anything and will give him time to open up at his own pace. Give him a safe haven, and this boy hurt by fate will finally breathe and gain the most wonderful home forever!

Crux to chodząca delikatność, bezbronna czułość i ocean skromności! Dlaczego skrzywdzony i łagodny Crux potrzebuje właśnie Ciebie? Genialny stosunek do innych psów (Kluczowy atut!): Crux wspaniale akceptuje inne czworonogi – obecność zrównoważonego, łagodnego psa rezydenta będzie dla niego nieocenionym wsparciem, doda mu odwagi i ułatwi adaptację. Złoty wiek dojrzałości (ok. 6 lat): Oaza powagi i życiowej mądrości – marzy jedynie o przewidywalnym rytmie dnia, pełnej misce i bezpiecznym kącie, w którym nikt go nie skrzywdzi.

About CRUX

What life with CRUX looks like

CRUX is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting CRUX, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about CRUX?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw CRUX on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt CRUX if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is CRUX already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if CRUX isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know CRUX and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
