Csusza

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 7 months

Today we present to you a silly sheep dressed in a dog's skin, Csusza's character. He is just a 6-7 month old boy (born in April 2023), yet he has already grown very large. No wonder, his mother is a Kuvasz, and he probably inherited her size. Csusza has a complex personality in his own strange way. Sometimes he throws himself away, his legs stand up, with a seductive glance leading you to realize it's time to stroke his belly. Other times he rather avoids people when called. He actively participated in the mucking out over the weekend, although if there was any helpful intention, the affectionate lump of love on the sack was rather a hindrance. One thing is certain, he is not our most photogenic shelter pet, especially on a leash, but during a personal meeting, he will surely take your breath away. Csusz needs a lot of love, care, snuggling, and encouragement from a wonderful dream owner! You can visit on Saturdays at Csévharaszt, and you can call at the phone number!

HU·Show original

Csusza összetett személyiség a maga fura módján.

About Csusza

What life with Csusza looks like

Csusza is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Luca Kutyamenedék in Hungary.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Csusza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Csusza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Luca Kutyamenedék handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Csusza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Csusza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Luca Kutyamenedék will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Csusza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Csusza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Luca Kutyamenedék early rather than rehoming privately; they know Csusza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
