Adopt Cudak

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 5 months

Cudak has come a long way – from a complete feral cat to a cat who greets his temporary foster parent at the door. When we took him in, he was about 5 months old – he hissed, bit and attacked. Ala, our volunteer, did a huge amount of work to convince him that humans are not dangerous. Cudak took this chance and is now fully ready for adoption. What is he like? Cudak is a young cat, so he has a lot of energy, but he spends most of the day napping and watching. He doesn't have any problems playing by himself. He gladly accepts pets and treats from anyone who respects his boundaries – he likes to first get to know a stranger and have the option to move away when he's had enough. He likes to be around people during daily activities and just sit next to them. He gets along well with other cats and doesn't cause conflicts by himself. He communicates nicely, but rather doesn't initiate closer relationships. He has good contacts with dogs. Important information – Neutered – Dewormed – Vaccinated – Tested for FIV/FeLV – negative result – Lives in Warsaw, in a temporary home! We do not give cats to homes without balconies. ! We require balcony protection and at least one window.

Historia Cudak przeszedł długą drogę – od kompletnego dzikusa do kota, który wita tymczasową opiekunkę przy drzwiach. Kiedy zabraliśmy go pod opiekę miał około 5 miesięcy – fukał, gryzł i atakował. Ala, nasza wolontariuszka, wykonała ogrom pracy by przekonać go do człowieka. Ważne informacje – Wykastrowany – Odrobaczony – Zaczipowany – Zaszczepiony – Testy FIV/FeLV – wynik ujemny – Przebywa w Warszawie, w domie tymczasowym ! Nie oddajemy kotów do domów wychodzących. ! Wymagamy zabezpieczenia balkonu oraz przynajmniej jednego okna.

About Cudak

What life with Cudak looks like

Cudak is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa in Warszawa.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cudak, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cudak?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cudak on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cudak if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cudak already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cudak isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cudak and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
