Curcuma

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 5 months

Curcuma arrived with Paprika through a free cat convention. My character: Curcuma is very comfortable with humans and is a real cuddler, even a glue pot! He doesn't hesitate to go to people, and he's also very talkative. Playful, he loves the cat tree, game poles, balls, and laces. He's a clean cat. I like / I don't like: On the side of agreements, he has never been in contact with other cats than his brother Paprika, but he should adapt easily to a family with a cat. He doesn't know dogs, so his reaction is unknown. Gradual introductions will be necessary. He can live with children.

About Curcuma

What life with Curcuma looks like

Curcuma is a kitten european shorthair cat waiting at APAA Trégrom in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Curcuma, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Curcuma?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. APAA Trégrom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Curcuma on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Curcuma if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — APAA Trégrom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Curcuma already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Curcuma isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with APAA Trégrom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Curcuma and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
