Currito

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Currito's story has had some difficult twists. His previous owner passed away, and shortly after, he got lost. Although they searched for him, they couldn't find him until months later, when he reappeared in the same area where he had gotten lost. His previous family, who could no longer care for him, kept him in a boarding facility for several months until he could finally come to La Lliga. Currito is a podenco mix who has undergone a very positive change since coming to La Lliga. Although he is still a bit uncertain on the street, he is slowly progressing and gaining confidence. He is a sensitive dog who needs gentle and respectful treatment. Sudden movements or overly direct approaches can scare him, but when he feels safe, he reveals his softer and more affectionate side. He gets along well with other dogs and seems to feel more comfortable with calm companions who are not too intense in their interactions. Now we want Currito to find a home where he can continue to progress. A family that understands his sensitivity, gives him security, and allows him to discover that the world can also be a kind place. If you are interested in meeting him, you can read the information about the and fill out the form:

About Currito

What life with Currito looks like

Currito is an adult mixed breed dog waiting at Barcelona) in Protectora Bcn.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Currito, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Currito?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Barcelona) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Currito on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Currito if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Barcelona) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Currito already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Currito isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Barcelona) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Currito and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
