Cynamon

Mixed Breed · Male

Cinnamon for adoption - Cinnamon Location: Warsaw Cinnamon is about a year old and has already experienced the worst of the world. Instead of a home, he has a chain. Instead of safety, he has terrible conditions and loneliness. Instead of care, he has indifference. When he came under our care, he was a very withdrawn dog. Cautious, vigilant, one who learned that it's better not to trust. Not because "that's who he is," but because that's what his life looked like. Today, we look at Cinnamon and see how far he's come. He's a small dog, about 12 kg, who has beautifully opened up. He's still sensitive and delicate, but every day he takes another step towards normalcy. He's learning that touch can be good. That a person can be sensitive. That the world doesn't always hurt. At home, Cinnamon is calm and well-behaved. He doesn't destroy, doesn't bark without reason, can rest. The sounds of everyday life are not a problem for him - vacuum cleaner or TV don't cause stress. He can stay alone, especially if there are other dogs nearby. On walks, he walks nicely on a leash, doesn't pull. Traffic, cars, bicycles - it's all manageable for him. More difficult are large dogs, with which he still shows uncertainty and the need for human support. Cinnamon does not react with aggression - rather with withdrawal and seeking security. Cinnamon is a dog who: • is about a year old • weighs about 12 kg • was taken from a chain and terrible conditions • is sensitive, delicate and very real • needs a quiet, patient home He has already done a lot of work. Now he needs someone to show him that this is really the end of the bad life. Adopting Cinnamon is a decision for years. We are looking for a responsible, aware home that is ready to give him time. We do not give dogs "on trial", "as a gift" or "because the child wants it". If you feel that you can give Cinnamon a home forever - fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire. Zamiast bezpieczeństwa – fatalne warunki i samotność. About Cynamon

What life with Cynamon looks like

Cynamon is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Psa Karmela in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cynamon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cynamon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Psa Karmela handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cynamon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cynamon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Psa Karmela will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cynamon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cynamon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Psa Karmela early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cynamon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
