Cyryl

Mixed Breed · Unknown

What is he like? Just a short while ago, our contact was minimal; Cyryl was very afraid of us and observed us from a hiding place. Each day brings significant changes. He is becoming more comfortable with people, and he continues to surprise us every day. We work daily on building his trust, and it's yielding incredible results! The new family must give him time to settle into his new place and get to know himself. He still requires some work, but we promise it will be worth it. An extremely important part of socializing such a cat is taking small steps. Nothing by force; one should not give up after the first setback and allow the cat to feel comfortable in the new situation. Despite the fear that fills him, he is devoid of aggression. He is already participating in play sessions, allowing himself to be touched around the nose, and sometimes even leaning on his back to show his belly. He loves to crawl under blankets and lie there 😊 We are looking for an aware caregiver who will continue working on his lack of trust. We guarantee that once he has earned a person's trust, he becomes the world's biggest lap cat. He is very close to his friend Cyryl, so we will be adopting him with his best buddy.

Mimo strachu jaki go wypełnia jest pozbawiony agresji.

About Cyryl

What life with Cyryl looks like

Cyryl is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa in Warszawa.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cyryl, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cyryl?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cyryl on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cyryl if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cyryl already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cyryl isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cyryl and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
