Czaro

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Czaro is a dog born around 2019. He came to the shelter as a result of an intervention in the municipality of Smołdzino, where he had been repeatedly dragged around the neck with a chain by his "guardian," when there were terrible wounds on the old place. Now Czaro is no longer the same dog - the wounds are slowly disappearing, and he himself, weaned and well cared for, is gaining confidence and beginning to show a provocative nature towards other males. Czaro loves contact with people and deserves a guardian who will give him attention and closeness. As a dog who has lived in the yard so far, he needs a home where he can also enjoy freedom and movement outdoors, but at a high level - without a chain, and if there is a hut, then properly equipped. Czaro has been staying in the Slupsk shelter since autumn 2024 Screenshot

PL·Show original

Czaro to pies urodzony ok. 2019 roku. To pies pelen dobrej energii, szukający kontaktu z człowiekiem i zapatrzony w niego. Bierze on udział w spacerach z rodzinami podczas Dni Otwartych, idzie na smyczy spokojnie i bez szarpania. Czaro uwielbia kontakt z człowiekiem i zasługuje na opiekuna, od którego dostanie uwagę i bliskość. Jako pies, który dotychczas mieszkał na dworze, potrzebuje domu, w którym również będzie mógł korzystać z wolności i swobody ruchu na powietrzu, ale już na wysokim poziomie – bez łańcucha, a jeśli z budą, to wyposażoną jak należy. W słupskim schronisku przebywa od jesieni 2024. Screenshot

About Czaro

What life with Czaro looks like

Czaro is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Słupsku in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Czaro, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Czaro?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Słupsku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Czaro on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Czaro if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Słupsku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Czaro already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Czaro isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Słupsku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Czaro and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
