Czika

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 9 months

CZIKA IS LOOKING FOR A HOME Read before you are enchanted by her beauty. Czika came to the animal shelter in November 2025, about 9 months old. She is a medium-sized female dog. This is not an “easy” dog. The socialization process lasted a very long time and is still ongoing. Many hours spent with her in the kennel run, just to get her to look at a person. Many weeks dedicated to convincing her that taking a treat from a hand is nothing to be afraid of. Many months of learning to walk on a leash. Czika is a fearful female dog - one who needs time, patience, and great understanding. New situations or unknown sounds stress her, strangers are difficult for her, and the world can be simply overwhelming. But at the same time, she is a dog who, with proper support, can take small-big steps and slowly open up to life. We're looking for a conscious home - one that knows that adoption is not only walks and cuddles, but also work, a process, and sometimes taking a step back to then take two forward. Anyone interested will have to visit Czika at the animal shelter during meet-and-greets before even going on a walk together. Anyone interested must be aware that in the future, work with a behaviorist may be needed. A stable home without chaos is desired. A second, balanced dog is a plus - Czika feels safer with them and learns from them, we see how much support the kennel run companions give her. She is vaccinated, dewormed, spayed. Czika is not looking for "anyone". She is looking for her person. Someone who won't give up after the first difficulties and who will understand that her trust is something you have to earn. If you feel you are ready for such a journey - get in touch. Perhaps you are exactly the safe place she needs. Volunteers will gladly help with the introduction. We ask only for thoughtful calls.

CZIKA SZUKA DOMU Przeczytaj, zanim zachwycisz się jej urodą.Czika do schroniska trafiła w listopadzie 2025r, mając ok 9 miesięcy. About Czika

What life with Czika looks like

Czika is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Zwierząt RSOZ w Rzeszowie in Rzeszów.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Czika, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Czika?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Zwierząt RSOZ w Rzeszowie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Czika on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Czika if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Zwierząt RSOZ w Rzeszowie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Czika already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Czika isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Zwierząt RSOZ w Rzeszowie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Czika and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
