Ďáblík

Male · Young · 1 year

INFORMATION: Found dog – upon arrival: Ďáblík is a young, incredibly active and cheerful pup who loves human company above all else. He’s a quintessential “welcome-home” type—whenever he sees you, he jumps for joy right up to the ceiling! He’s very restless, sometimes even hyperactive, and currently struggles with being alone. Simply put, he needs to be everywhere something exciting is happening. Outdoors, he’s a true terrier—on walks, he can’t help but show off his genes. He has to carefully examine and sniff every leaf and blade of grass—and just to be safe, he’ll do it twice! So far, he hasn’t quite learned how to communicate properly with other dogs; he tends to provoke them by barking. Training and Education: Ďáblík is a blank slate. Although his past hasn’t taught him much, he’s a very smart and eager learner who’s making rapid progress. He already perfectly masters the command “Sit!” He’s still refining his hygiene habits but tries very hard to follow them. Who are we looking for for Ďáblík? An experienced and patient person who can handle his temperament and provide him with proper guidance and consistent training. An active owner who can tire him out both physically and mentally (an ideal candidate for dog sports, puzzle games, or long hikes). A home exclusively indoors—in an apartment or a house with a garden and unlimited access inside. Tolerance toward cats and small as well as large farm animals is unknown! Before adoption, several introductory visits will be required. You can find the adoption conditions here: New owners are carefully selected, and the pup may not be given up even after the adoption conditions have been met. You can call from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (this is not visiting hours) at Please call before heading to the shelter!!!! Before adoption, several introductory visits will be required. Snášenlivost s kočkami a drobnými i velkými hospodářskými zvířaty neznáma! About Ďáblík

What life with Ďáblík looks like

Ďáblík is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Útulek Jimlín in Czech Republic.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ďáblík, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ďáblík?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Útulek Jimlín handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ďáblík on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ďáblík if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Útulek Jimlín will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ďáblík already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ďáblík isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Útulek Jimlín early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ďáblík and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
