Daffy

Mixed Breed · Female

Daffy is less than a year old and has already experienced her share of hardship. She came into our care pregnant, timid and understandably scared. She has slowly started to come out of her shell in her foster home, all Daffy really needs is patience and love at her own pace.Due to her shy nature, we believe Daffy may benefit from living with another cat to develop her confidence and really help her come out of her shell and flourish. An adult only home with no dogs would be the best environment for Daffy. We are looking for a home with a garden away from any busy roads as Daffy will need access to the outside via a catflap. If you are interested in giving Daffy a safe and loving forever home please complete our application form below or leave your name, address, phone number, email address and some details about yourself and your home to:Email:

About Daffy

What life with Daffy looks like

Daffy is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at RSPCA North Wiltshire (Oak & Furrows) in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daffy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daffy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA North Wiltshire (Oak & Furrows) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daffy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daffy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA North Wiltshire (Oak & Furrows) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Daffy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daffy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA North Wiltshire (Oak & Furrows) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daffy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
