Daïa

Female · Young · 2 years

Daïa is a young female Malinois-Beldi cross, about one and a half years old, with a gentle gaze and a joyful, sparkling personality. She was found abandoned, alone in a basement and left to fend for herself. Despite this difficult past, Daïa has kept a deep trust in humans and an intact capacity for love. Today, Daïa is an adorable, playful and very affectionate dog. She enjoys human company, seeks out contact and is naturally cuddly. Very intelligent, she learns quickly and enjoys interacting, which makes her an attentive and pleasant companion to live with. Used to living freely, Daïa loves to burn off energy, run and explore her surroundings. She will need a family able to give her space, regular good walks and an environment where she can thrive both physically and mentally. Sociable and well-balanced, she gets along very well with other dogs, cats, children, and farm animals. Her adaptability means she can live in a house or an apartment, provided her needs for activity and outings are respected. Still young, Daïa deserves a present and committed family that will give her the stability, love and freedom she deeply deserves.

About Daïa

What life with Daïa looks like

Daïa is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe in France.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daïa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daïa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daïa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daïa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Daïa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daïa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daïa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
