Daisy and Hyacinth

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Unknown Β· Kitten Β· 4 months

πŸ’š We are Available πŸ’šHello! We are Hyacinth and Daisy, of the Bucket Kittens. Bucket after dear old Hyacinth and Onslow Bucket from Keeping Up Appearances. We have not had the best start to our little lives. We have been quite poorly. The staff here have done their very best to get us to full health =) We are little fighters, that's for sure! As we are strong and healthy now, we are looking forward to meeting our new family. We are both quite shy ladies. We can be a bit wary of hands and cuddles, but we are getting braver. Our future family will need to patient and understanding. We like to play together and to play with flirt poles. Playing with toys is definitely the best way to help us come out of our shells and gain confidence.Hyacinth was the first to use the cat flap in our family. She is a bit braver than myself (Daisy) and a bit cheeky in that she will steal my food if not supervised. As we are quite shy ladies, we are best suited to a home with no other pets and we are best suited to a household with children aged 10+.*This assessment is ongoing and subject to change *

About Daisy and Hyacinth

What life with Daisy and Hyacinth looks like

Daisy and Hyacinth is a kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Preston & District Branch in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daisy and Hyacinth, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daisy and Hyacinth?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Preston & District Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daisy and Hyacinth on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daisy and Hyacinth if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Preston & District Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Daisy and Hyacinth already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daisy and Hyacinth isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Preston & District Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daisy and Hyacinth and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
