Daisy

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Daisy has found its own home! Her story: Daisy was able to travel to her foster home in late August. Daisy is 3 years old, 48 cm tall, and still has 1-2 kg to lose, which her foster family is currently working on with her. She is a smart, curious girl, where treats are very helpful during learning. She was house-trained from the start, learned her name in just two weeks, and comes when called. She has also learned "sit" and "stay." Daisy is confident and has shown no fears so far; she likes men just as much as women and is not intimidated by the TV, lawnmower, or similar noises. She is not food-aggressive and gets along well with other dogs, but will also let others know if it gets too much for her. Daisy is looking for people who challenge her physically and mentally and do not let her walk all over them. She wants to experience a lot with her people and learns quickly and eagerly. A backyard would be nice, as she loves to be outside. An independent only-dog would not be a problem, but a too delicate or fearful soul might be "undermined" by her. But she would also be content as a solo princess, then she would have all the cuddles for herself. Daisy finds the Sniff Mat and intelligence toys fantastic and eagerly looks forward to them. She is currently learning to run on a bike. Would you give the wonderful female dog a second chance and show her how good a dog life can be with friendly people? Then contact us. Daisy travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport to her new home. A special thank you goes to the namesake Heidi F., who gave Daisy her name and thus her own identity. Thank you, Heidi F.! You support Daisy with a monthly sponsorship! As of: 26.08.

Vielen Dank Heidi F.! Du unterstützt Daisy mit einer monatlichen Patenschaft! About Daisy

What life with Daisy looks like

Daisy is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daisy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daisy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daisy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daisy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Daisy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daisy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daisy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
