Daisy

Female · Adult · 4 years

Age: 4 years (*1.11.2021) Weight: 29 kg (spayed female dog) Daisy is a four-year-old female German shepherd, a cheerful "belly" who will bring a lot of energy and movement into your life - you definitely won't get bored with her 😊 When she arrived at our shelter, she wasn't used to walking or a leash. She is gradually learning - sometimes she tends to pull on the leash or jump, but she is making great progress. She now goes on walks, although she sometimes pulls a bit, but it can be easily corrected. She knows the "sit" command, loves fetching, and is 100% clean in the kennel run. In more demanding or stressful situations, she has a bad habit - she spins around her tail, which is why there are fewer hairs on it. She does not bite it to the blood. Daisy is very nice to people, handles handling and veterinary care without problems. We currently do not give her to very young children - not because she is mean, but because she is so lively, she may jump up and accidentally knock them over. She doesn't get along with other females, and with dogs, each case needs to be tested individually. She will be adopted spayed. We are looking for an active owner who will not have her only as a garden dog, but will continue her training and socialization with a sensitive approach and will treat her as a family member. She needs to belong somewhere, and then she will return your kindness and joy of life ❤️ She is already spayed. If Daisy has caught your attention, please fill out the adoption questionnaire and we will contact you later. Warning: The description of the dog is based on her behavior shortly after arriving at the shelter. We try to place dogs in the offer as soon as possible, so they can start looking for a new home as quickly as possible. However, the dog's behavior may change during her stay with us, so we try to update the information and labels continuously. Our time options are limited, so the labels may not always reflect the current situation immediately. Please also keep in mind that the dog's behavior may differ in a home environment than in the shelter.

Do adopce půjde kastrovaná. Pokud vás Daisy zaujala, prosíme o vyplnění adopčního dotazníku a my vás budeme zpětně kontaktovat.

About Daisy

What life with Daisy looks like

Daisy is a large adult dog waiting at Útulek Dogsy in Czech Republic.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daisy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daisy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Útulek Dogsy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daisy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daisy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Útulek Dogsy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Daisy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daisy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Útulek Dogsy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daisy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
