Daisy

Female · Young · 2 years

Everyone meet our next resident …. Daisy!🩵 This girl came in to our care due to no fault of her own. Sadly she hasn’t seen much of the outside world but has been taking it all in her stride!😇 Thankfully she went straight in to foster and has settled in well. She’s currently in foster with a wide range of other dogs without an issue!🐶 Daisy is shy to start but very sweet. Shes settling well in to the household and is building her confidence hourly. We feel she could live with dog savvy children. This girl is going to blossom in the right home!❤️‍🩹 She is 2 years old and seems to be picking up lead walking well. She travels well and does whatever is needed of her as she’s eager to please.🥳 Daisy is booked in to the vets later this week once it’s cooler, for her full health check, start of her vaccinations, flea and worm. She will also be booked in to be spayed.🥰 This girl needs empathetic and understanding home. Someone who has time to show her what the world has to offer. She’s small for retriever so it maybe that there’s some lab in her DNA too. 🧬 Daisy needs regular grooming and plenty of mental and physical stimulation. She needs a home where she gets to see everything she’s missed out on so far.🥰 Please share this stunning girlie so she can find her forever home.🙏🏼 Remember to complete the form below if you’re interested in adoption;

About Daisy

What life with Daisy looks like

Daisy is a small young adult dog waiting at Almost Home Dog Rescue in North Wales.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daisy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daisy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Almost Home Dog Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daisy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daisy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Almost Home Dog Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Daisy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daisy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Almost Home Dog Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daisy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
