DALIA

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Just take a look at her... One ear is upright, the other playfuly droops down, and those big, dark eyes hold all the childlike curiosity about the world. This is Dalia—a roughly five-month-old puppy who is just beginning to explore life and dreams of a place she can call home. She’s tiny, delicate as a sponge cake, gentle and utterly charming. Every walk is a grand adventure for her—she watches everything around her with keen interest, sniffs eagerly, discovers new scents, and grows bolder with each passing day. She’s a cheerful little pup who loves human company and learns very quickly. Dalia needs a family that will show her the world is a safe place—a someone who’ll patiently teach her household rules, take her on joint walks, and let her fall asleep peacefully, knowing she’ll never be alone again. In return, she’ll give you her whole little heart and become your most loyal friend for years to come. Her mom was a small-sized dog, so we anticipate that Dalia will grow into a petite-sized companion. She’d be an ideal fit for both an active family and a calm, quiet home where she can fully integrate as a cherished member of the family. Don’t let her childhood slip away. She doesn’t dream of much—just of having her own person, a warm bed, and a hand that’ll stroke her every single day. Could it be you who’ll make those hopeful eyes no longer have to search for their forever home?

PL·Show original

Nie pozwól, by dzieciństwo.

About DALIA

What life with DALIA looks like

DALIA is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting DALIA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about DALIA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw DALIA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt DALIA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is DALIA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if DALIA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know DALIA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
