Damarco is a beautiful Podenco hound born in 2019. He was found abandoned near a hunting preserve, which suggests he is another sad case of abandonment related to hunting. When he arrived at our shelter, he was very scared, but with patience, love, and months of work, he has gradually regained his trust. Behind that initial shyness lies a noble, strong, and affectionate dog who dreams of finding someone to trust and give all his love to. Damarco is positive for Leishmania, but he leads a completely normal life with his regular veterinary check-ups. We are looking for a calm family with experience with dogs of this type, preferably one with another canine companion and where he won't have to spend too much time alone. When he forms a bond with someone, it's hard for him to part ways, so he needs a person with time, patience, and lots of love to give him the life he deserves.
