Dani

Female · Young · 1 year

Dani was born in Romania and has been in the animal shelter since she was born. She has been with us at the shelter since September 5, 2026. Dani is still somewhat uncertain and needs patience when she encounters a new situation. Then she lies flat on the ground and waits for someone to pick her up. Typical of a young dog, she is playful, has mischief on her mind, and still has a lot to learn. Dani is active but settles well at home, is submissive to people, is house trained, walks well on a leash for short training times, and is very cuddly. She bravely walks for hours with the dog walkers on a leash. She loves learning new things and curiously explores her surroundings. She gets along well with other dogs. She plays terribly well with male dogs and her best friends are all male dogs. With female dogs, it depends on the chemistry. Dani is quite dominant towards other female dogs. Although she also likes to play with the other young dogs. Dani is just 60 cm shoulder height. Dani is neutered, SHPPiL4T core vaccinated, dewormed, de-fleaed, chipped with an EU pet passport, and tested negative for Mediterranean diseases.

DE·Show original

About Dani

What life with Dani looks like

Dani is a young adult dog waiting at Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. in Germany.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dani, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dani?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dani on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dani if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Dani already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dani isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dani and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
