Dante

Mixed Breed · Male

🐾 Dante, a loving, permanent home is waiting for him 🐾 Dante is just ten months old, a sweet, charming little boy who longs for a loving family. He had a previous owner, but unfortunately they could no longer care for him. He asked for help on social media, and we came to his aid. Dante is now safe with us and ready to find his true home. When he arrived, he was very scared and didn't understand what was happening to him. Since then, he has received a lot of love and care, and is slowly starting to open up. He already likes to play and run around - a really cute, lovable little boy. Dante needs a family who will help him with a lot of love, patience and care, so he feels safe and grows into a happy dog. He is small to medium-sized, about 12 kg. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped and has an EU passport. Could you provide Dante with a loving, safe home where he can finally arrive?

About Dante

What life with Dante looks like

Dante is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Csupaszív Állatmentő Alapítvány in Hungary.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dante, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dante?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Csupaszív Állatmentő Alapítvány handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dante on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dante if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Csupaszív Állatmentő Alapítvány will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Dante already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dante isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Csupaszív Állatmentő Alapítvány early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dante and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
