Dante appeared unexpectedly at the plots in Twardogórze. Nobody knows where he came from, but from the very first moments it was visible that he is a sensitive, loved little cat. He moves a bit clumsily, sometimes sways while sleeping - this is the effect of previous changes in the spine (osteophytes), probably due to a past injury. Veterinarians took care of a full diagnosis and today it is known that Dante does not suffer, and regular, simple exercises help him maintain his mobility. The exercises are easy and do not require any equipment - our volunteer will gladly show how to support Dantego at home. Joint training builds a bond, especially when a cooked turkey leg appears as a reward. Dante cannot be kept in a cage - limiting movement hinders his progress. The best thing you can give him is a calm space and care. He copes very well: uses the litter box, jumps on scratching posts and low window sills. He only has a problem reaching his tail during washing, but this is a minor issue compared to his big heart. Dante is about 6 years old, has a positive FIV, is vaccinated, neutered, and dewormed. He has a food allergy which manifests as itchy ears, a single-protein diet with turkey solves this problem. He gets along better with kittens than with tomcats, but it would be ideal if he were an only cat - he is jealous and likes to have the human all to himself. Dante is currently staying in a temporary home and is looking for a permanent home.

Dante pojawił się niespodziewanie na działkach w Twardogórze. Nikt nie wie, skąd przyszedł, ale od pierwszych chwil było widać, że to wrażliwy, kochany kocur. Porusza się trochę niezgrabnie, czasem chwieje się po drzemce — to efekt dawnych zmian w kręgosłupie (osteofity), prawdopodobnie po przebytym kiedyś urazie. Weterynarze zadbali o pełną diagnostykę i dziś wiadomo, że Dante nie cierpi, a regularne, proste ćwiczenia pomagają mu utrzymać sprawność. Ćwiczenia są łatwe, nie wymagają żadnego sprzętu — nasza wolontariuszka z radością pokaże, jak wspierać Dantego w domowych warunkach. Wspólne treningi bardzo budują więź, szczególnie gdy w nagrodę pojawia się gotowany indyczek. Dante nie może być zamykany w klatce — ograniczenie ruchu cofa jego postępy. Najlepsze, co można mu dać, to spokojna przestrzeń i czułość. Radzi sobie świetnie: korzysta z kuwety, wskakuje na drapaki i niskie parapety. Ma jedynie problem z dosięgnięciem do ogonka podczas mycia, ale to drobiazg przy jego wielkim sercu. Dante ma około 6 lat, ma dodatni FIV, jest zaszczepiony, wykastrowany i odrobaczony. Ma alergię pokarmową, która objawia się swędzeniem uszu, karma monobiałkowa z indyka rozwiązuje ten problem. Z kotkami dogaduje się lepiej niż z kocurami, ale idealnie byłoby, gdyby był jedynakiem — jest zazdrośnikiem i lubi mieć człowieka tylko dla siebie. Dante przebywa w domu tymczasowym i szuka domu stałego.
