This group of 18 grass parakeets is our Proost group, as they are all named after spirits. The birds were given up after their owner could no longer care for them due to illness. This was very hard for him, as the birds meant a lot to him. They were allowed to fly around the house all day and had a lot of fun. It is therefore very important for these birds to have the opportunity to fly around in their new home, either in a house or aviary. Of course, with other birds of the same species. The group of 18 does not have to stay together, except for the two real couples (which we will not separate), but the rest can also be rehomed separately as long as there are other birds of the same species present. The exact ages of the birds are not known, but they are all (young) adults. Deze groep van 11 grasparkieten is onze Proostgroep, ze zijn namelijk allemaal vernoemd naar sterke drank. De vogeltjes zijn afgestaan nadat hun eigenaar vanwege ziekte niet meer voor ze kon zorgen. Dat ging hem behoorlijk aan het hart, want de vogeltje betekende heel veel voor hem. Ze mochten hele dagen los vliegen en hadden de grootste lol in huis. Het is dan ook heel belangrijk voor deze vogeltjes om in hun nieuwe huis weer de mogelijkheid te hebben om rond te vliegen los in huis of in een volière. Uiteraard met soortgenoten. De groep van 11 hoeft niet bij elkaar te blijven, ze mogen ook los herplaatst worden als er maar soortgenoten aanwezig zijn. De precieze leeftijden van de vogeltjes zijn niet bekend, maar wel zijn ze allemaal (jong)volwassen.
