Adopt De toch-niet-gedumpte Helmondse cavia’s

Mixed Breed · Female

8 February Yesterday we received these beautiful guinea pigs. They would have been dumped in a deer park in Helmond. The strange thing is that it is a group of a neutered male with seven beautiful females of different breeds and colors that are very popular. And four of the females are also very young. Not really a group you expect to be just left on the street. For now we are keeping them here for a while. They all look very healthy, but we would like to know if someone maybe has more information or perhaps recognizes the guinea pigs. 9 February After we posted our call on social media and it was widely shared, the old owner finally got in touch. It was, not entirely surprising, the one who had brought them. She was ashamed that she could no longer take care of her animals and therefore had made up the dumping story. On the one hand unfortunate, on the other hand we now have more background and the ages of the animals. For most of the treasures we already have a new potential place. That comes out perfectly!

Frequently asked

Adopting De toch-niet-gedumpte Helmondse cavia’s, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about De toch-niet-gedumpte Helmondse cavia’s?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Caviaplein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw De toch-niet-gedumpte Helmondse cavia’s on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt De toch-niet-gedumpte Helmondse cavia’s if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Caviaplein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is De toch-niet-gedumpte Helmondse cavia’s already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if De toch-niet-gedumpte Helmondse cavia’s isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Caviaplein early rather than rehoming privately; they know De toch-niet-gedumpte Helmondse cavia’s and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
