Dedi

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 3 months

Dedi is a three-month-old puppy who loves to explore the world on his own. He and his four siblings, Askur, Coffee, Donner, and Sally, as well as their beautiful mother, were abandoned and hidden on a field near a busy road. Fortunately, our animal protectors in Romania were able to secure them and place them on a protected property. Dedi, his siblings, and their mother are lovingly cared for by our volunteer Nensi. Now, Dedi can grow up in safety and wait for the people with whom he can start a happy future. Dedi is just three months old, but one thing is already clear: the little guy knows exactly how to get attention! He is clever, confident, and incredibly curious. Whenever something exciting happens, Dedi is usually already there, eager to know what it is to discover. He is one of the puppies who likes to be one step ahead, try new things, and stand out with his own personality. He has this cheeky little mischief in his neck that makes you smile involuntarily. Dedi is a little character who apparently likes to enjoy life in the midst of the action. With his current shoulder height of about 31 cm and a weight of around 5.5 kg, Dedi is still a little puppy who is in the middle of his development. How big he will be in the future is not yet reliable. But it is certain that many exciting discoveries and developmental steps are still ahead of him. With his curious and confident nature, Dedi has the best conditions to explore the world. Nevertheless, even a little explorer like him still needs to learn how to live with people. Housebreaking, leash training, staying alone calmly, and the many small rules of everyday life are still on his agenda. For this, he needs people who appreciate his lively personality, but at the same time set loving boundaries and give him orientation. Because even self-confident puppies need to learn to calm down and not implement every exciting idea immediately. And of course, puberty will come eventually. Then it can happen that Dedi suddenly develops his own ideas, tests boundaries or forgets what he has learned temporarily. His future people should therefore have patience, humor and joy in accompanying him through this exciting phase of life. With loving, consistent upbringing, the little whirlwind can become a wonderful companion. We wish Dedi a home with people who are in love with a young dog with brains and personality. He wants to discover the world, experience adventures with his people and learn what it means to be part of a family. In addition to play and activity, he needs enough rest, reliable structures and people who promote him not only physically, but also mentally. Dedi should be allowed to keep his curiosity and at the same time experience that he can rely on his people. Maybe this little rascal is still missing in your life? One who makes you laugh with his ideas, keeps you on your toes and shows you every day how much personality can be in such a small dog body. Dedi is waiting to write his own story - this time with people by his side who love him and never leave him again. Has Dedi won your heart? His little suitcase can be packed soon. At his departure, he is chipped, vaccinated, dewormed and has an EU pet passport. After a positive preliminary check and against a deposit, your joint journey can begin. Dedi would also be very happy about a loving foster home as a stepping stone to his forever home! Thank you to Tobias W. You have not only given Dedi a chance with your donation, but also given him a chance to find his forever home.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Dedi

What life with Dedi looks like

Dedi is an extra-large puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dedi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dedi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dedi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dedi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Dedi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dedi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dedi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
