Deltyva

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Female Age: approximately September 2023 (estimated) Size: medium (estimate) Weight: 17.4 kg - February 1, 2026 Date of arrival at the shelter: January 2024 Spayed: yes Vaccinated: yes Microchip: yes Compatibility: ok dogs, ok cats, young children to avoid Temperament: sociable Evolution: February 1, 2026: Deltyva had her vaccinations last week. She weighs 17.4 kg. The vet checked her umbilical hernia and it's still OK. She is a great dog when she knows you, but the problem is when she doesn't know you - she becomes protective. When someone enters her home, she barks, growls, and Mrs. needs to hold her otherwise she might bite. Potential adopters should agree to visit her several times. This is what she did with friends of hers and now it works out well, they can even take care of her when Mrs. is not there. Since she's no longer working, she's very available for potential adopters. She is ok dogs and ok cats. Children to avoid. Ideally another dog in the family. September 16, 2024: She is adorable, extremely affectionate Sociable, having a friend will be essential for her! June 24, 2024: Deltyva is ready to join her family! She is affectionate when she knows you, very curious and greedy. Deltyva will need a family with a garden because she really needs to exercise. Having another dog would be a plus because she needs a friend. She also needs a fairly present family. She's clean and loves walks. June 1, 2024: Deltyva is an adorable dog who has adapted relatively quickly to her new environment. She gets along very well with my two dogs, but be careful during meals when she can show her teeth if a dog approaches her bowl. She's very affectionate! She loves cuddles, pets and being brushed. She doesn't like being alone for too long, she really needs someone around. The first mischief arrives, but with some education it should pass. Cleanliness is in progress, and walks on a leash are great! She doesn't pull, it's a real pleasure to walk her! History: Caught as a stray with her sisters DEVARA and DOLOREANE Contact: Spayed: yes Vaccinated: yes Microchip: yes Compatibility: ok dogs, ok cats

About Deltyva

What life with Deltyva looks like

Deltyva is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Remember Me France in France.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Deltyva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Deltyva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Remember Me France handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Deltyva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Deltyva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Remember Me France will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Deltyva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Deltyva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Remember Me France early rather than rehoming privately; they know Deltyva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
