This lively dog had an unsuccessful adoption episode in November 2024 and returned to the shelter after a year. Now he is once again up for adoption! He is an intelligent, fast, affectionate, and lively dog. He is strong and needs a significant amount of exercise, making him an ideal companion for walking and cycling activities. Denver is rather non-confrontational with other dogs, and if there are conflicts, he tends to be the one who gets hurt rather than the aggressor. Volunteer Martyna says: Denver is an energetic dog who needs a person by his side - someone who will be both a safe haven and support, but also show him the limits. On the yard and walks, he is initially so excited that emotions almost burst out of him! However, once they subside, he reveals himself as a very disciplined and balanced dog. I walked with him through the forest, leading him on a completely loose leash, and he was focused on me, obeying the commands perfectly and happily accepting treats as a reward. "Paw" (both paws), "come", "stay", "sit" or "no" - these are known commands that he obeys. This lively dog can also calm down and relax during walks - sit, lie down. It is easy to gain his trust, he is a very smart and disciplined dog, an unpolished diamond. (March 2026) At a mass event (shelter festival), he did well in the crowd, he was not stressed. Children of various ages surrounded him, and it was not a problem at all. There were moments when too many stimuli overwhelmed him, but it was enough to take him aside for a moment and he quickly returned to balance. (May 2026)

Ten świetny żywiołowy psiak zaliczył nieudany epizod adopcyjny w listopadzie 2024 i po roku powrócił do schroniska. Teraz ponownie poleca się do adopcji! To pies inteligentny, szybki, kontaktowy, żywiołowy. Jest silny i potrzebuje sporej dawki ruchu, a więc to świetny kandydat na towarzysza pieszych i rowerowych aktywności. Denver jest raczej niekonfliktowy, gdy chodzi o inne psy, a jeśli dochodzi do scysji, to raczej bywa poszkodowanym niż napastnikiem. Wolontariuszka Martyna mówi: Denver to pies pełen energii, który potrzebuje przy sobie człowieka – takiego który będzie zarazem bezpieczną ostoją i oparciem, ale i pokaże granice. Na wybiegu i spacerach jest początkowo tak podekscytowany, że emocje wręcz go rozsadzają! Natomiast po ich opadnięciu daje się on poznać jako pies bardzo zdyscyplinowany i zrównoważony. Szłam z nim przez las, prowadząc go na zupełnie luźnej smyczy, a on był skupiony na mnie, na wydawanych komendach, które pięknie wykonywał i z zadowoleniem przyjmował w nagrodę smaczki. “Łapa” (jedna i druga), “chodź”, “stój”, “siad” czy “nie”- to znane mu i wykonywane polecenia. Ten żywiołowy psiak potrafi się też na spacerze wyciszyć i zrelaksować – usiąść, poleżeć. Szybko można zdobyć jego zaufanie, to jest bardzo mądry i zdyscyplinowany pies, nieoszlifowany diament. (marzec 2026) Na imprezie masowej (festyn schroniskowy) świetnie odnalazł się w tłumie, nie był zestresowany. Otaczały go dzieci w różnym wieku i nawet to nie stanowiło żadnego problemu. Były momenty, kiedy nadmiar bodźców zaczynał go przerastać, ale wystarczało wtedy odejść z nim na chwilę na bok i szybko wracał do równowagi. (maj 2026)
