Adopt Devil

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Devil – dog with a character meet Devil – a middle-aged dog who, despite difficult experiences, still manages to enjoy every moment. Though life hasn’t been kind to him, he hasn’t lost his good spirit and need for closeness. This is a dog who knows what loneliness is – that’s why he values human company and the company of other dogs so much. Devil approaches new people with reserve, but once he feels you are worth trusting, you gain a devoted friend. Walks are not his favorite activity – he decidedly prefers time spent on the play area, among his canine friends. It’s worth knowing one thing, though: Devil likes to bark! Especially at the beginning, when something or someone is new to him. This is his way of saying: “Hey, I’m here! I’m observing, I’m watching!” But once he gets to know someone, he shows his gentle, friendly side. Does Devil need much? Not much. Just a little warmth, peace, and a heart that will love him for who he is. Let’s not let another day pass with Devil in the animal shelter. Every moment in the shelter could be shared with a human – his human. Do you feel that Devil is the right dog for you?

Poznaj go. I daj mu szansę na nowy start.

About Devil

What life with Devil looks like

Devil is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Oaza dla Zwierząt Mielec in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Devil, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Devil?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Oaza dla Zwierząt Mielec handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Devil on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Devil if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Oaza dla Zwierząt Mielec will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Devil already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Devil isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Oaza dla Zwierząt Mielec early rather than rehoming privately; they know Devil and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
