Dézsa mami

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

Admission Date: 2019.10.15.Dézsa mami was a well-known stray dog in the village of our area, wandering the streets searching for food for her puppies. When it was discovered that she was pregnant, a kind family adopted her, so her puppies wouldn't have to end up under a bridge. Then they searched for us to help place the already 11 puppies. Dézsa mami is dear, playful, and always wants to be the center of attention. She can be played with at any time. Her puppies have already been separated, so there is no risk of them being placed in a home. She is a very good-natured, kind young female dog. We are looking for a home where she can be a fully adopted family member, where she is not a special case but a natural state, and where she can be with her family in the home, with her daily activities provided. She deserves a safe, caring life! She is adoptable with other dogs. Vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Further photos HERE!

Megérdemli a biztos gazdis életet! Más kutyákkal is összeszoktatható. About Dézsa mami

What life with Dézsa mami looks like

Dézsa mami is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dézsa mami, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dézsa mami?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dézsa mami on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dézsa mami if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dézsa mami already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dézsa mami isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dézsa mami and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
