Dhoty est une jeune chienne au parcours de vie difficile, marquée par des traumatismes vécus en Guadeloupe. Malgré ce qu’elle a traversé, elle reste une chienne très gentille et affectueuse mais encore méfiante quand elle ne connaît pas. Dhoty apprécie le contact et les moments de tendresse, mais son passé doit être pris en compte dans son adoption. Un changement de famille et d’environnement représentera une nouvelle étape importante pour elle et nécessitera un accompagnement adapté. Un suivi avec un éducateur canin sera donc conseillé afin de l’aider à s’acclimater correctement à son nouveau foyer, à prendre ses repères et à accompagner ses adoptants dans la mise en place d’un cadre rassurant et cohérent. Dhoty s’entend avec ses congénères. En revanche, elle n’est pas compatible avec les chats et devra donc être placée dans un foyer sans chat. Dhoty a besoin de une, voire plusieurs, chirurgies orthopédiques car, suite probablement à un choc, elle souffre d’une luxation de la hanche à gauche et d’une luxation de la rotule.
