Adopt Diabełek

Mixed Breed · Male

Seeks a permanent home. This cat, a troublemaker, lived on the lots and was living peacefully until it was hit by a car. With dangling skin, a bloody muzzle and a detached jaw, it returned to its feeder! The kind woman immediately took action and this small cat was taken to the clinic on January 11th and with our consent, the doctors started fighting for its health and life. It underwent a jaw stabilization procedure, reconstruction of the chin attachment, and initially had problems eating. Now it has an appetite. During the rescue of his life, his tumor changes in the ears also became apparent. Unfortunately, one ear had to be amputated, and in time, the other one must be considered. Now, several months after the operation, Diabełek is doing very well. He eats without problems and is not picky, and his appetite is good. This kitten is devilishly companionable, demands human attention, jumps on knees, rubs against and hugs like a child. Moreover, he is devilishly intelligent: rewarded with a delicious treat, he responds to the command "sit"! He loves to sit on the windowsill and watch the world outside the window, and especially birds fascinate him. He does not chew on flowers at home, uses the litter box politely. Currently lives in a temporary home with another cat, so could also live permanently with a feline friend. He is cautious towards dogs. He is about 3.5 years old, neutered, dewormed, and FIV and FeLV tests are negative. Is currently staying in a temporary home.

Z wisząca skórą, zakrwawionym pyszczkiem i odpadnietą żuchwą wrócił do swojej karmicielki!

About Diabełek

What life with Diabełek looks like

Diabełek is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja EkoStraż in Wrocław.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Diabełek, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Diabełek?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja EkoStraż handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Diabełek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Diabełek if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja EkoStraż will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Diabełek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Diabełek isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja EkoStraż early rather than rehoming privately; they know Diabełek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
