Diana

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Diana is a spayed mixed-breed female dog born in May 2025 who was abandoned with her siblings as puppies outside the Svilos animal shelter. She is now ready to travel and eagerly awaits a loving family. Diana is an exceptionally lively, playful, and active dog whose cheerful nature immediately wins over hearts. Curious, she explores the exercise area, sniffs extensively, and enthusiastically discovers her surroundings. On warm days, splashing in the dog pool is one of her greatest passions. Diana is very friendly, affectionate, and cuddly towards people. She enjoys every petting session and seeks closeness with her caregivers. With her open and loving nature, she makes a wonderful companion for anyone who wants an active yet cuddly dog by their side. Diana also gets along well with other dogs. She is very social and plays with them exceptionally well. Her behavior towards cats and other animals is unknown to us. We wish for Diana a loving home where she can experience enough exercise, varied activities, and many shared cuddle moments. Anyone who wants to give an alert, friendly, and lovable dog a home will find in Diana a loyal companion for life. The dog's shoulder height is 47 cm and she weighs approximately 13 kg.

About Diana

What life with Diana looks like

Diana is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Care Hungary.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Diana, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Diana?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Care Hungary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Diana on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Diana if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Care Hungary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Diana already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Diana isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Care Hungary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Diana and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
