Die L-Gruppe

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten

The L-group arrived in our care at just about nine weeks old - now the cat girls are old enough to move into their own homes. Here we experience the sisters as typical kittens: they are sweet, cuddly, love to play and explore their surroundings. Due to their curious, lively nature, a secure balcony or cat-proof terrace is just right for the group. When they experience new situations or meet new people, they are initially a bit cautious, but with growing trust they become more confident and affectionate. Like all kittens, we also only place the members of the L-group with or with same-species, same-age society. Since Lotti and Lilly are a bit older than the other furry faces and have become particularly close, the two are looking for a shared home. Ideally, the others move to their future home together, but the other two can also move in together.

About Die L-Gruppe

What life with Die L-Gruppe looks like

Die L-Gruppe is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Hamburg in Hamburg.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Die L-Gruppe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Die L-Gruppe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Hamburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Die L-Gruppe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Die L-Gruppe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Hamburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Die L-Gruppe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Die L-Gruppe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Hamburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Die L-Gruppe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
